Opening for Michael Doucet

We’re so excited to open for Michael Doucet and his band Beausoleil when they come into San Diego for the annual Gator By the Bay festival. Back in the 70s, Doucet was awarded an NEA Apprentice grant which helped him study with some of the oldest living Cajun and Creole musicians of that time. Among those was Dennis McGee, a personal favorite whose repertoire preserved near-extinct styles of Cajun fiddling from the 19th century.
